Welcome to my lair, thou pitiful human! Dragons are famous for hoarding things, aren’t they? That may be anti-reptilian propaganda, but it’s also true. Anyway, I hoard tons of records – funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop, metal, dance… a little bit of everything. On occasion, I pick through my hoard for prime cuts so that you don’t have to. So, on dark and stormy nights, in the magical kingdom of Alabama, ye may hear ghostly wails wafting through the mountains like an incense for the ears or something. During the Fall, I take flight to co-host Ashley’s radio show on Cullman’s Live 95.5, WRJM-LP.

Like any music nerd, I’ve been putting together mixtapes since long before I knew what I was doing. Gone are the days of sitting by the stereo, waiting for my favorite songs to play on 107.7 (WRAX) so I could press record like a filthy pie rat. Would I download a car? You’re damn skippy I would, bucko. Now clean your room. Where was I?
For a few years now, I’ve been co-hosting for Ashley’s Radio Show weekly on Cullman’s Live 95. I’ve had fun voicing the bookend parts and even some commercials… too much fun, actually. Last Fall, DJ Ash was kind enough to let me substitute on a few occasions. What follows are my first two DJ sets from that time and here they are, at full quality, sans the adverts.
